United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County (UBGC) is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact in the lives of local youth and families.

Overview:

As the organization's senior-most finance leader, the Director of Finance will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee to ensure the financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, audits, and internal controls.

  • Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance to executive leadership and the Board.

  • Oversee annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting, and financial forecasting.

  • Manage grant budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to auditors, financial institutions, and the Finance/Audit Committee.

  • Supervise and develop finance staff while promoting accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting and financial management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven leadership and staff supervision experience.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Nonprofit accounting and financial management experience strongly preferred.

Status: Full-time; Exempt
Pay range: $120,000.00- $140,000.00 annual salary
