The United Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara County is proud to present the 2023 Rally4Kids, one of the largest events of the year and the only one of its kind in Santa Barbara County. This year the Rally4Kids is proudly presented by Chevron. The event is actually three events packed into a spectacular weekend.
The event kicks off on Friday night with the Drivers Party, where drivers and their navigators can meet their fellow competitors over drinks and snacks while getting a sneak peek of the challenges they’ll face the next day.
The Rally portion of the event takes place on Saturday morning, with driver/navigator teams departing from a secret location that’s only disclosed to them on Friday night. The course covers a ~150-mile stretch of central coast highways and backcountry roads, where drivers stop at various checkpoints to complete a series of challenges.
The challenges are designed to test the skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork of participants. It’s not a race, but a test of strategy and wit, with each team earning points based on their performance.
The event culminates with a themed gala, with this year’s theme being Riviera Nights and over 300 guests in attendance. The gala includes a cocktail reception, dinner, music, and a live auction to raise funds for the United Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara County.
The funds raised from Rally4Kids go toward supporting the organization’s programs and activities for children and teens in the region. In the past, this event has helped fund the opening of new club locations, vans to pick up kids who wouldn’t normally be able to go to the clubs and provide at least one hot meal a day. By participating in the event, you’ll be helping to support a great cause while having a fantastic time.
