Overview:

The Development Manager plays a vital role in advancing UBGC’s mission through strategic fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships. This position works closely with leadership to drive fundraising initiatives, manage donor relationships, and elevate the organization’s visibility across Santa Barbara County.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations

  • Support fundraising strategies including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship

  • Manage donor recognition programs and engagement initiatives

Marketing & Communications

  • Execute digital marketing and communications plans to enhance organizational visibility

  • Oversee creation of newsletters, social media content, and promotional materials

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support fundraising campaigns and partnerships.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan and support special events, including logistics, budgeting, and execution

  • Serve as a key ambassador in the community, strengthening relationships and expanding impact

  • Inspire community involvement and support for the Club’s mission

Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising Growth

  • Support development and growth of corporate partnerships and volunteer opportunities

  • Collaborate with the Development Director on strategic fundraising initiatives

Data & Reporting

  • Manage donor database to ensure accuracy and integrity

  • Track donations, grants, and reporting deadlines

  • Analyze data to support fundraising decisions and reporting needs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience

  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Valid Drivers License and have a clear CA DMV Driver Pull

  • Experience with donor databases and fundraising systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

  • Commitment to nonprofit work and community impact

Location: In-person at Administration Office
Status: Full-time; Exempt
Pay range: $70,304.00 - $75,000.00
